Anyone know anything about JD two row planters? I got this one at an auction a few days ago and don't even know the model number! I need a new set of corn plates and lids for the seed boxes. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!

Looks like the units off a 490 and they took 3pt off something else. Lot of folks around here are buying older 4 &6 rows and cutting them down to 2 & 1 row planters.

They look very similar to a 24B or 25B Planter unit. Yours is set up to plant on furrows. You can get Cast iron plates from Your John Deere Dealer for about $30.00 apeice or go to www.lincholnagproducts.com plasticplates are 10.50 apeice there or look on ebay plates can be bought cheap at times. Any "B" series Plate will fit your planter
