ancient IHC corn planter

I need some information to help identify an old planter I have. I believe it predates the McCormick-Deering 241 because the 241 employed a clutch mechanism on the drive axle and 3 sprockets on the plate axle. This planter has a straight rear (drive) axle and only has 2 sprockets on the plate axle. It was converted to 3 pt. hitch long ago. I want to buy a manual for it but need to know what model it is. I have a 241 manual but some of the information just doesn't cross reference.....mainly the sprocket ratios because they are different/more teeth.

sounds like your best bet is to call the ih archives in wisconsin. they are real helpfull people. they are on the net. pg
