Duane: Depends on where you live. Some CaseIH dealers can and will get them, while others can't be bothered. Farm supply stores are much the same. I have a guy I go to, always take old part with me and it's never taken him more than two days to get what I needed. I know of other guys gone to the same chain of farm supply stores in other areas and been told they unavailable. Good idea to tell these unavailable parts guys, your cash is unavailable for other purchases.

I can tell you I live in SW Ontario and the source of the plow parts I get is in Iowa.

Hugh: I went to the IHC dealer in Amherst, NS with the part. There was a number cast in the back of it, they found some old books and verified that the number was the correct part number, but the number didn't show up on either the computer or the current parts books. So he said he couldn't order it. Thanks for the prompt response, I'll try some other dealers.

Duane: If your in Truro NS, go to Central Equipment and ask for Andy Waugh in the parts dept. He is just about as sharp as anyone I know in the IH parts business. I am assuming Central is still selling IH parts.

The chain I go to here in SW Ontario is TSC stores. Even there I don't think it would be easy except for a certain individual that knows plows.

The name Tuttle sounds like a Pugwash name. A guy by the name of Peter Tuttle went to NSAC while I was a student there 44 years ago. Do you know him?

Hugh: I will try Andy Waugh at Central. Peter would be my brother. Small world!

Duane: Small world indeed, I didn't know Peter that well. I was in the Class of 62, I believe he was in the next year.
