any experts or anyone that knows there hahn sprayers. I wondering if they would be an option for a small 200 acre parttime farmer.

I have a Spra- coupe 220 three wheeler, excellent machine ,look for one with power steering and hydraulic booms, I can go 13 acres with a 15 gpa rate, holds 200 gallons.

I've been a custom applicator for 30 years and I agree with the others. Forget the Hahn and get a JD or an IH if you can find one. Next choice is a spray coupe or a Hage.

I personally have a Wilmar 745 Air-ride.

International 660 or 770 or early model John Deere would be better choice. Water cooled four cylinder engine vs air cooled engine, rear two wheel drive vs front one wheel drive, lower center of gravety, parts still available from Case/IH and John Deere.

IHC came out with the 660 in the late 60's and next models were the 770 and 780. John Deere came out with a simular sprayer about the same time but I don't know JD model number. They were three wheel tricycle machines with low mounted four cylinder IHC or JD engine, low mounted streamlined tank, rear two wheel drive, and all hydraulic booms. They were excellent sprayers and quickly replaced the Hahn's and Barrentine's that had previously been popular in the Delta.

Don�t know about newer models, but stay away from the ones with the Wisconsin 2 cyl mounted above the front wheel. CG is too high and they flip easy.

Any dealers or parts source nearby? Around "here" Melroe Spray-Coupes are much more prevelant.

Depends on what you want to do with them. I used them for 20 years. Bad news is they are despicable to try to operate and maintain. Good news is they sure beat walking tobacco with a backpack sprayer. Most folks here that had at least 2 (not 200) acres of tobacco had on.

I mean 200 acres of row crops, not tobacco. what later models of hahns are you familiar with.
