Anyone have a manual or know for sure what the tractor hp requirements for the 1993 640 NH 4x5 w/auto tie? Thanks , Brian

I have a 648 which replaced the 644 which replaced the 640. I think they are pretty much the same baler. Anyway the manual for the 648 calls for 65hp minimum. My tractor has 66 and it does great on level land. On hills you down shift and take your time. Hope this helps.

Not sure what the book says. But around here they make 65-70 PTO HP talk pretty good pulling the hills.
