My dad's JD 7000 30" 6-row drawn planter was bought new in May, 1980 and still works excellent. It is plateless. The original Operator Manual went to pieces, pages 20 to 40 are lost. Those pages include settings for the corn pick-up units and soybeans cups we use.

The original size tires are on the planter. I don't know if the factory tire size changed throughout the production years so that the manual would need to be specific for the year model of the planter. Anyone know for sure?

Any suggestions where I can download those pages, or get a manual ordered online in the next day or so?

Thanks. Bill

Our dealer always has them in stock. Only major difference is the early machines had half as many teeth per sprocket for the seed rates, and maybe the fertilizer rates as well, as the later machines had. My first two 7000s had sprockets like 7, 13, 15, etc, while the current one has 14, 26, 30. If you can't wait til the dealer opens- post here what population you want to set for and someone will give you the combos.

JD dealer is a good source for that. Got mine there, $10 or so. Take the model number so they can match it exactly, tho they were all pretty standard.
