Need help finding a sickle mower part

At this point, the only thing I got out at the end of my blade is the last blade guard. So, to answer your question, I probably need both (ledger/sole) if that's the set-up of the typical configuration. Problem for me is, I live in an urban area so I can't even go look at a modern version to check it out. I have looked at various photos on the web, and from what I can tell, some look like a two-piece unit and some look like a all-in-one cast unit. As I said in an earlier post and as you also alluded to, they do not look like they have changed much over the years, I could probably retrofit a later (modern) version.

On something that old, both may have been a single cast iron piece, I donno? But typically 2 seperat pieces bolted onto the end of the sickle out there.

Several farm supply stores such as T S C and the online v a l u b i l t and others have a universal windboard which would be a starting point if you need to fabricate.
