Old JD trailer type, 200 gallon tank, 34' spray span. Up until this week was using a JD model 25 3 pt, 100 gallon tank with 30' span (planning to send it up on ebay soon).

We've been using a Great Plains AS 1000 for the last three years. It has a 1,000 gallon tank and a 60' X fold boom along with a hydraulic drive pump. Some time in the next couple of weeks our new sprayer should be ready, it's a Sprayer Specialies XLRD 1250, a 1,250 gallon with 45/90' front fold booms. With the threat of soybean rust and aphids even with just one extra trip in soybeans we will be spraying 5,000 acres a year but it should go pretty fast with the new sprayer.

I just bought a used Cagal The previous owner had Century 45 ft Hy fold booms put on it the last year he used it. I haven't ran a sprayer since the 3 -55 gal barrel days. The co op is charging 5.50 first time to spray & 8.50 for spraying in standing crops it won't take long to pay for it

Just finishing up making one. Just in time too, the corn is sprouting, gotta get the spraying done. Mine is 500 gal, 60ft, 20in spacing, hydraulic booms, and PTO driven hydraulic system to run the spray pump if that makes any sense. I built mine with "mid-mount" booms. Ive seen pictures in the magazines of mid-mounts and I thought it would be nice to have the nozzles out where I can see em. The booms mounting infront of the axle makes the bounce of rolling through a ditch much less, bounces twice as often half as severe. It rides on 14.9 X 34 tires. I used a straight combine axle, tall wheels for clearance and to roll over rough terrain with ease. Matt

Got an Agro-Trend 500 gal, 45' booms, controls, foam, bought new last spring for $9200 Canadian. Couldn't even find a used Hardi for that.
