Curt: I would love to get to Co. to look around for small reversible plows, but don't know when that's going to happen. I have a friend that lives north of Albequerque who I tipped off about these things and she said she put the word out to some relatives in Southern Colorado I would like to find one or more units of the same brand, preferably 2x14 or 16. Even an Allis with a Snap Coupler hitch I would use, but my main one would have be 3pt hitch. Are there any trail type two furrows left? I know IH built them until 1958. Out of a scrap pile is not a problem, just as long as they are straight and relatively complete. Thanks for your reply. 75 degrees here yesterday, 35 degrees here now and the first rain of spring. Some snow left in the bush.

Curt: The picture you sent is exactly what I'm thinking of. What would be the asking price of a unit like that? There are three furrow snap coupler Allis Ploughs all over the place here. There used to be an Allis dealer close by here that absolutely flooded this country with A-C equipment. Everybody had a WD or A WD45, a 66 combine and other bits. Fellow I work for part-time has a bunch of A-C stuff tucked away including a WF tractor and a GOOD ground drive A-C spreader

This one looks pretty good, so I would imagine $100 to $150. I have seen rough ones go for $10. I think I will attend that auction in Laramie unless something comes up. Do you want me to bid?

Curt: That price sounds great and I will say yes please; bid. If there are any other bits that you recognize that go with it, go for them, too please. I will go to $300 for a plow in that condition or what you think is worth hauling 2500 miles. The transport would cost a heck of a lot more, but those things just aren't here. If you get it, email me pronto and I will throw a money order in the mail soonest. Will need your mailing address.

I haven't forgot about you Allan. There is a JD 400 hoe at auction on Saturday. From the picture, it looks rough. It is at surplus equipment sale and I prefer the estate sales. The quality is much better. What is the baler number you were looking for?

I'll keep my eyes out for one. How about an old IH tumble bug plow? They are a pull type with a lever activated release and the plow pulls itself over.

I have an uncle in NW Iowa who is looking for a 3 or 4 bottom snap-couple plow for his WD-45. He does not want a roll-over.
