Just wondering if you guys out there can answer my question. I was wondering if any of you have a chart to tell me what lbs per acre the seed box should be set at for timothy hay. the #,s go from 2 to 16 and i know thats not lbs per acre. Any help would be appreciated.

Thats quarts of seed sown per acre. 1 quart of grass seed weights 1-1/2 pounds. 1 quart of clover seed weighs 2 pounds.

Thanks for the info. How about when your sowing 2 crops such as timothy and trefoil and you want about 8 to 10 lbs to the acre. What would you set it at 5?? Our john deere drill says you add the number setting of both seeds together and set for that. That works out to 8 so i don't know if these old drills work the same way.
