I came across one the other day that looks kinda rough in some ways, but in other ways not. It needs a new tarp, blades, and is missing the inside belt. It looks like that at sometime or the other everyblade has hit the opposite disc in some way or the other, but I think that"s just from bent blades. There"s less than a 1/4 turn in all of the discs before they all turn and they all turn pretty easy and smooth. I don"t know how old it is but the asking price is $1800. Can anybody tell me anything about Kuhn and this model?? Does it have the modular cutterbar design? Or is it all one big piece??Thanks, Casey

The Kuhn GMD66 uses a Oil-bath cutterbar. This cutterbar may have the top mounted disc pods, if so that would be a plus but you still have the oil-bath cutterbar. I would say that mower is in the 10-15 year old range. You can get a cover for $210 and the belts will sell for $10-20 each. You might want to consider purchasing a New drum mower for almost the same money. A new drum mower vs. a 15 year disc mower is an easy choice when you look at it that way.
