Recently I broke one of the shafts on my Dearborn plow. It seems Ford no longer makes parts for these plows. After pulling the housing apart, I discovered the shaft/hub was forged out of cast steel in 1 piece. My solution was to have the hub bored out the same diameter as the shaft, have a shaft machined out of cold roll steel and simply welding the new shaft to the cast steel hub front and back with E-7018. As information for others, the 24" blades can be purchased at Agri Supply for around $28.00 (WWW.AGRI-SUPPLY.COM). The blades are 1/4" thick with a center hole but the 5 mounting holes for the Dearborn hub are easily drilled.

Is the part you are looking for the shaft and hub that the disc goes on or another shaft?

It was the shaft/hub the 24" disc blade mounts to but I solved the problem with the help of a local machine shop.

If you have any spare parts, I would be very interested in hearing about them.

George
