I just bought this baler, and I think that the tie arm is misadjusted. I can make the arm go all the way to the left, to what I think is the start position, but when I move the arm to the right it goes about 75 percent of the way before the motor chatters and stops. It looks to me like the angle between the outer tube and the cutter arm is wrong. It looks like there is an adjustable bolt and a pivot bolt that can be loosened to change this angle. Should I just loosen them up, and make the arm go all of the way to the right, stopping when the twine is pinched, and tighten it up, or is there something more complicated to this ?I've called Vermeer to get a manual, but it hasn't arrived yet. Also, this baler has two big springs on top, with some pretty thick airline cable going through them, that attach to the top front tube that a 504F would have the hydraulic pressure cylinder attached to. It is labeled Dameco Products, Soper, OK (as far as I can remember - I'm at work now). Is this some extra option for tighter bales ? Thanks !
