I bought this reversable rake at a auction last year, I put it on one of the F 20s of mine other than the tractor being a little slow it seemed like a good combination. I ended up tedding about 400 acres of hay with it, as our year was very wet and hardly any one in this country owns any kind of tedder. I was wondering if any one else has owned one of these little jewels or know where I can find a manual for it and what did A.C. recomend pulling it with, I brought it to the shop I want to work it over for next year, I had it hooked on my little ford diesel with a tach and I do not think 540 r. p. m . is where I want to run this out fit, any comments?

Have one of those marvelous AC rakes here. dependent upon crop weight and density I normally run ours with a WD45 in 3rd gear at a fast idle. Heavier raking I drop a gear still running it at a fast idle. Generally use the lower gear for alfalfa.

Jumping the normal hay seasons start in my neighborhood by two weeks; oftentimes wet Spring ground I have needed to but just move the crop turned over, I have run tractor drivers adjacent to windrow just turning the crop up on dry ground for continued dry down.

I like the PTO drive of the rake enabling it to roll hay when ground driven rakes or inverters cant handle the load. While it is my favorite, I save its use for only those situations where it is needed. Parts are not easy to find.

Have made this rake a real jewel over semi rough ground dealing with old dead-furrows or other such bottoming hazards, by mounting or adapting paired twin off-set wheels and tires on both ends of this rake. I believe I have bottomed it out once in the three years I had rebuilt it from two only slightly similar machines.

Good luck. Youll enjoy what that rake can do for you if you have the patients!?!?
