Hello,
I am interested in buying a 2 row corn binder. It is my understanding that IH is the only company that made them. However, if any one else did I might be interested in that as well.
Thank you.

It seems like every Amishman here in central PA has an International corn binder. I have never seen them using a two row binder though.

IH did make a two-row corn binder. It was PTO powered. It is also a rare machine. I have several single row IH corn binders. One is original, works great, and is in the restoration process, mostly cleaning and painting. Two others worked when they were put away, haven't gotten to them yet. Haven't seen a two row around here for a long time.

I always thought the feed put up with a binder is great. Also fond memories of shocking feed with my dad and my brother, hauling feed in from the field, and simply seeing shocks of feed standing in the field.

I have located a John Deere binder and will hopefully own it as soon as I have a building I can store it in. I couldn't buy one then let it set outside.

As to your question, I cant' answer it.

Pete, I think other machinery companies built corn binders, there is a Massey corn binder in a barn about a half mile from me. Last fall I was in Mennonite country and they were using a corn binder, hauling the bundles by wagon and team and blowing in using a cutting box run by a stationary gasoline engine. They know how to find , repair and use them on a daily seasonal basis....Mike in Exeter Ontario

Hello, Mike
I appreciate the feed back from you and all the others. Is the Massey corn binder down the road from you a two row? If so I may be interested. Thank you.
Pete
