I am putting new coulters on my 3 point hitch 3 bottom plow,how high should they be set in relation to the plow points?

Just deep enough to cut the trash .The more forward if in heavy trash conditons.Maybe 2-4" in front of the plow point. Move them rearward if the ground is hard so they won't ride the bottoms out of the ground.To the left just enough to get a good flow of soil over the cover boards if so equipped.Otherwise just to the left enough to get a smooth furrow wall.

My Deere book said the hub on the coulter should be one inch behind the plow point and 1/2 to 5/8 too the land side.

When your plow is in the ground the colter should be in to near its center point w/o dragging it's framework. Glenn F.
