Are there/were there any small feed mixers made? One ton would be large enough, and I don't need to run the grain through a grinder. I can buy grinder mixers which hold 5800 pounds (85 bushel?), but don't need anything that big. Probably couldn't store that inside anyway. Watched a nice one sell today for less than $300, but just don't have room for it. Thanks
James

If you're not needing huge capacity, you might want to look into buying a small concrete mixer. Quite a few people use those to mix feed, even heard of a resturant that uses one to batter chicken parts and fish. Just an idea

Mixers like that are available at feed mills that are being torn down- also, small versions were made to be sold to seed houses and used to mix combos of grass seed. Check with seed houses or salvage yards that deal with industrial teardowns. There is one in Mn I know of- Borchardt's in New Germany. I had two small mixers for adding salt and mineral to milled corn from a Harvestore. Still have one of them.

It'll be hard to find a mixer without a grinder.
You probably know that you do not have to run the grinder to mix. One of my customers uses his to treat wheat seed when he's planting in the fall. Small ones show up now and again just have to be on the lookout. The fact that you don't need the grinder is a plus as this is what wears out first and cost the most to repair.
