I'm looking for a plow to pull behind my Farmall M, right now i have a choice between a JD 3 bottom, or IH 2 bottom, will the M pull the 3 bottom?
Ben

Your M should handle 3 bottoms easily in most soils. I pull a 3-16 Oliver trailer plow with my two M's, Super M,and Super W-6. My farm is not all flat and much of my plowing is on hills.

My M pulls 3-16's all day long in clay. That's my 2 cents!

My H would pull 2-16 in 3rd (usually) in sandy loam soil before I rebuilt the motor.

The M should handle 3-14s in lite soil.
