The last Massey balers made by Vermeer were 1987 models. In fact Vermeer took many of unsold balers back and repainted them Cat yellow and sold them as Vermeer's. Massey in 1986 &1987 was basically in bankruptcy and kept a float by the Canadian government so there were only a few balers purchased from Vermeer.

Currently Vermeer does not make any round balers for anyone else selling in the North American market. Vermeer is making their own disc mowers and mower conditioners in Pella, Iowa with the Lely transmission system.
