Has anyone ever seen any implement that could be used with a 1951 Farmall M for the purpose of roadbuilding/grading?
I"d like to put my in-law"s old M to good use and fix grade our muddy road now that winter has passed us by. Any suggestions?

You can do a respectable job with a home made road float. Weld together 2 or 3 pieces of heavy angle or I-beam so it so 1t moves the dirt back and forth across the raod. Tow it up and down the road several times and it will really level the road out.

An old pull type road grader does an excellent job of keeping roads smooth and small ditches shaped and clear. Doesn't need hydraulics or three point hitch, just an operator on the grader in addition to the tractor driver.

Don't laugh. My first tractor was an IH B (in 1979) and my oldtime (country) neighbor loaned me his grader. Only problem was I had no one to "ride the blade".

If you add a 3 pt setup there are lots of options.

Not sure without the 3 pt setup though.

$500 - $750 for a 3 pt setup and $250 - $300 for a 7' blade. I was lucky to get the 3 pt setup already on my M.
