what should i be paying for 19-19-19? checked around cheapest was 2 places for $300 a ton.
(bagged) if i fert 1st cutting could i just put area on for 2nd with not bad effects? thanks feild gets 3 ton to acre lime in fall for last 2 years with nothing else,
this will be 3rd year taking for hay, just mix grass some clover and alfalfa. live n.w ohio.

I'm with the tractor vet, no reason to use 19-19-19 if you dont need it. I just my early fert down (put most after first cutting). With January prepay $250 /ton for ammonium nitrate, $305 for DAP, and $220 for muriate of potash, urea was $315 but I dont normally buy it, never know how wet or warm it wiil be when I put N down )plus is has to come from a dealer 20 miles further.

I paid 294/ton for my 19-19-19. $277 was the cheapest but had to take 22 tons. I am in SW PA. Price continues to go up.

with the price of fert. i sure would be soil testing first and put on what is needed and nothing more. And i would rent a spreader and buy bulk less work and a lot faster .

$288.80 a ton here yesterday in Kentucky for 19-19-19 and $294 a ton for 27-17-17.
