I"ve got a one row mounted corn picker that fits my 861. It was in working condition when put away about 15 years ago. Anyone know if these are worth anything? Thinking about scrapping it out for steel....

I bought a two row mounted model of the same period. It sat in a barn for a number of years. I paid $250. I did not get the tractor side shields. Otherwise it is complete and useable.

Leroy,

I am located in Jasper, which is half way between Louisville & Evansville. I really don't know what it is worth, that is why I posted on here. I do have a small Case 350 hi-lift, that I think would lift it. If nothing else, I could probably hook it up to the tractor and drive it up. I did confirm that it is a 16-65, and I will post pictures later tonight. I opened my email up also if you prefer.

It would probably be worth more than I could pay, and it sounds like you are 3-400 hundred mile from me, I am from what could be called southern Indiana about 75 mile, 70 mile north of Dayton Oh, right on I75 so it would be a hard trip to make, but please don't junk it

jon what did you have it mounted on? i've been thinking about one . i want to put it on a wd allis. there was a blue 601 i let get away at a sale years ago. not sure but i think scrap man beat me to a local one.

Tim,

It was mounted to an 861 Ford. I'm not to familiar with the WD, but the way this one mounts to the tractor, I would have thought you almost would have needed a Ford. You could probably fabricate something up to get it to fit, but it may be a bear. I verified that it is a 16-65, and I will post some pics later this evening. I'm located in Jasper, half way between Louisville and Evansville, if you are interested in looking at it. I

As many more and more working implements going to and appreciated at engine/tractor shows, yoy may just happen to have a nice bit of trading stock. I"m hoping you find somebodyy who may put it to good show use if nothing else. Just seems to much old stuff is scrapped out these last few years.

My less than a nickles worth for inflation, for my say.

It"s a 16-65 or early 601 if it"s red. I have a worn-out 16-65 that is only worth scrap, but I mean it"s really worn out. I"ve seen one very good one on auction in the past 4 years and two Ford collectors bid it up to $800. Could be a fluke, and none will ever sell that high again, but before you scrap it, take a digital picture and advertize it, you never know with that Ford/Dearborn stuff anymore.
