I bought this Massey Ferguson 2 row planter at a sale today and I can't find a model number on it. It looks real clean and in very good shape. Do any of you know what model it may be? Are parts and manuals and such still available or no? Thanks in advance for all your help.

That looks like a #39 planter. Parts are still available through an Agco dealer. I have an extra #39 planter that I would consider selling if you need one for parts & I live in Somerset County. If you need any other information feel free to e-mail me. Thanks.

It is to dark on my computor for me to see but I do have a manual for one and I think it takes the same 11" plate that a ferguson takes that is no longer avaible, that IHC would have been better for you

If you have a manual for it can you tell me what model # it is? It has a couple sets of plates with it. I 'll have to see if there are any other ones out there anywhere - may not need any more if these will fit my seed.

Can you post anouther clearer picture and a picture of a plate and if you can give us the number of cells in each plate plus the lengh, width, height in 1/16" of each cell we can possibly figure out by compairing size of cells in my JD books what your plates are for. I am guessing for a medium flat and large flat type corn and for some sweet corn varities you need a tiny round type of plate, also measure the outside diameter of plate and post it. May take a couple of weeks before I could look for my book. What did you come up with about insecticide? And I don't know if my Gandy unit could be mounted on it. Leroy
