IH 4 Row Planter

I just recently was given an IH 4 row planter that came complete I had thought. It has sat outside for the last 7 years and was completely covered in Honeysuckle vines. The paint is still ok but rusting and chipping in some places. I can see that there is a 66 on one side making it a 66 IH 4 row planter set on 38" rows. Does anyone have any information on a 66 IH planter and if so are parts readily available. I plan on starting the restoration on 3-19-05.

That would look to be a 400 air planter. Liked for beans, not so well for corn around these parts.

Did IHC make a 66 planter? I'm more familiar with a 56 planter, could it be read wrong through the rust, or did they have a 66?

Hi Paul,

Yep, seems to be a fully loaded Cyclo 400 4-row.

Never used a trail behind; always like the 3-point types.

I've never heard of a 66 either; the 56s were pretty darned nice, tho.
