Plows for WD-45

I'm looking for a plow for my WD45. At an auction coming, there is listed a 2 bottom snap coupler plow and a 3 bottom JD roll over plow. Unsure of the models. The soil here is mostly clay, but just looking for something to play with(have use of JD 8100 and Case 6x18 for serious work). The WD45 is freshly overhauled with the overbore and high compression pistons. 3 pt hitch is mounted to drawbar(hooked in snap coupler), so there is some draft for a 3 pt hitch plow. Also, if plows are in good condition, whats a good price? Thanks for all the opinions! Auction is the Greenhill Farms annual cosignment auction in Meadville, PA.

I have 2 wd45 plows,,shame you arent closer I would sell one cheap ,,I have used a lot of old tractors to plow with,, but so far the best one was the wd45 with a 2 btm plow,,,Jim

A 3-14" would be the Least I would put on a WD-45
especially if it is an AC-snap-coupler plow... I don't know what the weight of a "roll-over olow" would be..it might require some front weights, when transporting...

Knauffj, the snap coupler plow was built for your tractor, although a WD45 would easily haul a three furrow plow. I would not think it would be an expensive plow. I remember at my neighbours sale that a 3 furrow Allis and a 4 furrow Allis plow brought $5 bids and were not sold the day of the sale. These plows were in very good condition. He did sell them privately from the road gate and if memory serves me correctly he did get $100 for the 3 and $250 for the 4. It all depends who wants a hobby plow, otherwise they are the price of scrap iron. Mike in Exeter Ontario

I would get the snap coupler plow. It was designed to work with your tractor.
