Push Rod for Ford 501 Mower

If some one has a good picture and some measurements for the pushrod that connects to the bell crank (left side) and then connects to the "clamp" on the left three point arm I would be very thankful. I am going to try to make a replacement since FNH wants almost $400 for the part.

Just get a tie rod from an old car or pickup from a salvage . It's 20 1/4" center to center of the joints.

Something is wrong with that price. You can get them at most farm supply stores for around $15. Check with another FNH dealer. Use that one for a pattern. I usually make 6-10 at a time as setup for the saw is the most time consuming part of it. Remember the pittman rod is the fuse in the system that keeps the mower from self destructing....

I think he's looking for that triangulating lift arm with the 2 ball joints that is used to lift the bar - clamps to the 3pt arm. Not the wooden push rod?

I wonder if some sort of control rod from a junk yard would work out?

Wow, $400. Here the whole mowers sell for $150-350 in good shape.

when your snow melts could you look and give some measurements?

yes I am looking for the part that has a ball joint at each end and clamps to the 3-point arm and the bell crank. Not the pitman rod (wood), I got one of those at TSC for $8.00
