Can anyone give me an idea of what one of these would be worth? If you have used one could you tell me how you liked it?

Sickle;
I have had a 7' 990 for 5-6 years now and have had good luck with it. We cut 3500+ small squares a year. It uses a little more power and is not as smooth running as my friends NH479 but cuts just as well.It runs fine behind my 32 hp Ford They sell for 1000-1200 in working condition around here, a good NH will cost twice that. I have run into a few parts that were listed as obsolete but there seems to be a fair number of parts machines around. Good luck. Roy

I just looked at one this weekend and the guy didn't really know what it was worth, but he was quick to put a $1000 price on it. They are okay, but problems do occur.

I have never owned one but I have mowed with one, I think it cut just as good as a NH, one neat feature it had was when you raised the machine up it seperated the rolls apart. I belive Ford also sold this machine in blue also, cant remember the model number not the Owantona version which was not worth a tinkers damn.

Around these parts, 800 to 1500 would be the range. Hound

990 Ih mower conditioners where not made by Heston. A PT 10 is probelly about the same era though.
