For anyone considering one of these ground driven spreaders...
Fantastic!! We live next to a goat dairy and have access to enough pen manure to spread heavy over our 10 acres of pasture. Its heavy manure, much of it compacted, straw mixed in etc. I can load this spreader to the level of the rear bucket bar (about 100 bushels) all the way to the front and it handles it without a hitch. I do about 10 loads an afternoon when we spread so I can say this spreader operates like a charm. It takes less than 10 minutes to empty it.
The beaters pulverize the chunks and give an even spread about 7 foot wide. The choices in the feed rate really let you dial in the spread for conditions/type of manure.
If you have a small operation and want a bomber spreader this one will serve well. It also is easy to operate in tight places.
