I don't know where this fits but I will ask any way. Can you use a bulk feed bin to store grain year round like wheat or barley. I only need to store 250-300bu and is there any way to install aeration fan on the bulk bin? Thanks

Talk with a bin dealer. they should be able to set you up. Most elevators in my area use cone bottom bins for wet holding. The all have fans installed on the boots. Most of the bins that I see are 8000+ bushel, but should work simular on a small bin. I have kept 14% corn all winter and spring on a gravity wagon with no aeration.

If the grain is around 13-14 moisture at storage, it can stay there all year with no aeration. If you are using some on a regular basis it is even better. What you are storing is about a gravity box load. Consider storing it there? Just keep it dry.

I sure don't see way not. Not all bins have or use fans. Trick is to put it in dry and keep it dry. If you feel you need a fan just put a little blower on the tube fitting for the auger. won't be exactly like a floor blower but would move air thru the bin.
