New Holland 158 manure spreader

There is a NH 158 for sale close to here for $325.00 It says it has a hydraulic gate. Is this a single axle PTO drive spreader, I assume it is PTO driven seeing as it has a Hyd gate. I was looking for some info or a pix and can't seem to find one. I bet it is beat beyond belief, but maybe not. A second spreader would not hurt.

I never back up with the Vemeer. I start tyting just before th ebale is at the size I want and then stop, finish tying and drop. I find when I back up, the chaf makes a mess and can't get picked up when you start again. Plus, it is a pain in th eass to back up. The real reason is the brake on my IH 584 were out and when I backed up she always would keep rolling. I discovered th eno back up style and it has been good. I did not know you had a Vermeer, did you sell the Hesston ? My IH is a fender and I am glad about that. I will somehow send you a picture when I can.

I think those McCormicks are cool looking and probably are good. They are made in England at the old Case plant, right ? Been seeing them in Successful Farming and such. See ya, by the way, 6 to 12 this Monday night.

I will check with your dad. I saw it in country folks, like I said, it probably is a toilet. Your dad does like to keep things but with no milk cows now, maybe he will part.

That 1066 went wicked cheap. I was going to get mine but then we had a snow and the driver backed out. I can't wait to get it and go through it. I am sure I will be e-mailing you with questions also. You still got a good deal on yours. How does your Hesston baler work with it, good ? I know it is a big machine but it will be all I ever need and I am sure it will hold its value here in NEw England. Seems NY and PA are getting 10,000 for the ones out there. Mine has no cab, I figure the AC would crap around July then it would be a heat box. Anyway, how did you dad make out with the Hesston mower I sold him. I will go over and see him.
