Now Kelly C, lets not wish it away too soon. I still need to sell a little more hay. Forcasting a doozy of a winter storm this week and cold temps, sure enough the phone started ringing. Only made one sale (80 bales) but I did get some lookers. Got about 1500 more to sell, then it can get warm.

April and may are great hay selling months here. Every one is out and no one got enough to last till the 1st cuttings start. I have about 3 or 400 left.

Kelly, Guys, Take a deep breath, and slow down just a little bit. Is is on its way you just havent heard just how far North is has allready gotten.
Here in Central Texas, just this week....
The Redbud trees started blooming, Also the Mexcican Plums popped out too (the sweet smell is intoxicating) Green Ash Trees and Elbow brush all startes sending out leaves.
I will let yall know when winter is officially over... the Mesquite and Pecan trees will leaf out then and only then it is over.
Later,
John A.

41 degrees for a low last night, sunny, light south wind and 63 today. Took the boat to a small watershed lake this morning and caught a few slab crappie. Some days are perfect! Winter is just about over in the Arkansas Ozarks.

AMEN Brother, Preach it!!!! I hate winter!! Now I am aware of the fact that if you have good health, a person should not complain about anything else. However, I HATE winter! Nice pics Kelly, Steve

you just keep that thought im mind when its ninety degrees in the shade with a breeze and your up in the hay loft itchin. come on winter aint so bad. at least in northern il. didnt get a whole lot of snow didnt get real cold (alot of people complained said was cold but i remember winters when we had days that we never saw +0 tems didnt get that this year). winter isnt so bad you get a chance to catch up on repairs tinker. i can always put clothes on, turn up the corn furnace or oil burner in the shop the hot weather i cant do much about as i dont look good in a swim trunks lol.ill admit it is fun putting up hay and love doing it but dont mind the slow days

7" yesterday up here in Mass, they say another 10" MOnday night. Those pictures hurt, I can't wait also. I spend all winter in the shop working , painting, fixing and getting ready. It does get exciting but after about 2 month of it, you do get burned. Anyhow, we all love it and that is why we do it right ?

60 in western Nebraska today. Working on an old (and I do mean OLD) grapple fork.

She's a coming, Gents; right around the corner.

Allen,

You are killing me, 60 in Nebraska, how about 9 this morning in Mass. My face was freezing when putting out round bales. It look likes I have a cow ready to drop, she swollen and arching. She is actually due on the 8th of March but seeing as we possibly have a Noreaster coming in Monday, that will be the best time she can pick.
Women, you have to wonder. What do you plan to do with that grapple any way ?
