I found a 316 baler for sale and was wondering if anyone might have a good idea of what they are worth. This baler is at an auction.

I have a 315 that I paid $3500 for. It works great. I live in the NW. I think it's a supply and demand thing. In our part of the world there are really only small small farms. Most of the bigger operations have gone to round bales. If you go to a NH dealer around here they may have 1 or 2 new balers in-stock and usually won't sell more than 4 or 5 a year.

I guess worth is relative. Last one I saw sell was in excellent condition and it brought $4,500.

What is the difference between a NH 316 and NH 315? I have a 315 wire, field ready, low bales, new tires, needs paint...any ideas on what it is worth if I decide to sell it. I replaced it with a used 570...nice to have a back up, but hate to just let the 315 sit also. I am in North Texas.

Thanks,
Tim

I give 2500 for my 315 but had to put new knotters in, that cost an extra 800. It is twine tie and was in good shape when I bought it.
