I finally found some pictures. I found out the Speedigger was made by R. J. Piper Manufacturing Co. in Princeton, Illinois. When I did a search for "Piper Speed Digger" I found them.

IHC also built a front mounted posthole digger.It ran off a 4" belt hooked the pulley.Had a platform that a person stood on and turned a wheel to lower and raise the auger.Took about a half day to mount it on the tractor.What a piece of crap.lol,bob

Never saw one of those before. I wonder how easy it was to get out of the wet clay? I also wonder if there was any danger of it augering down and pulling the tractor over? A very interesting implement. Appreciate the chance to see it.

I'D rather mount the digger in the shade, than dig holes by hand ,all day..... bin there,done that.
