I have posted a picture in the galleries section,"help identify" a 1 row potato digger. I would like to get any info I could about it, make,year ,references. Thanks

You are going to have a hard time finding anyone who knows much about a potato digger that old. It probably wasn't new in '42, so someone familiar with it would be 90 years old. They can be hard enough to identify when even when you can look at the castings for logos, part numbers, etc.

You might try somebody like Roeters in Michigan or Market Farm Supply in PA, and see if they know anyone who can help you. The Wisconsin Historical Society has pictures of a lot of IH stuff. I know that John Deere put out a picture book of their equipment. I'm sure that there are others too. Good luck.
