I love to walk through the used machinery yards of people who buy and sell anything. I know it is usually very well used, but I have found a few good pieces here and there for not much money. The last was a pretty good Vicon power harrow under a pile of rusty loader buckets. I'm looking for yards in western and central ontario and go to places like Stone Age Farm at Brandy Point, Bearinger's at Teviotdale, Larry Gray at Riverview and Peter Bell at Orangeville. Anybody care to share their favourite spots?
Thanks
Tom

Was never there myself, but there's one near Stoufville, Ontario. Used to be ran by a fellow named Bev Beech(he was a friend of my father's). I beleive his son has taken it over. I don't know the exact name of it, but will see if I can find out and post it.

I was in NJ last October on a training course in Elmer. Was on a fellow's place and he had a Brillion 10 seeder tucked in his shed behind about 5 Farmall H's and another 5 IH 130's and 140's all of them fitted up with specialized attachments for his vegetable farm. Said he take $1000 for the seeder. I would have jumped at it but I was 700 miles from home and I don't think the law would have liked to see a Ford Focus towing that thing through the Lehigh tunnel and Canadian customs people have no sense of haha's at all at Niagara. Another time, though

I found an old equipment junkyard just recently. The owner hasn't done much business there in years, but I went up to his door this week, and met the man. The gentleman is nearly 90 years old, has all his wits about him, and is obviously very wise. He is exactly the kind of guy that will sell you anything in that place. He has it ALL too! I bought (this week) a MIG wire feeder (was scrapped with the truck it sat in) and an Airco welder generator. He has things in there that I've never even dreamed I'd see. Most of it is too far gone, but I think he'll let me explore if I ask. He has heavy equipment from the 40's, 50's, and 60's cars and light trucks from the 70's, and heavy trucks from the 50's and 60's. He has farm equipment, yard equipment, tractors, trailers, industrial stuff, agricultural implements etc.
Not only that, but the guy gave me a lesson on local history, and that's priceless!
I'll post pictures in the next few weeks to the "help identify" section in case anyone is interested in my findings.

I"m in New Jersey, too, and I need parts and/or parts machines from time to time for various antiques that I use to make a living. This guy wouldn"t have any old Papec 151D choppers around, would he? Got a good one that I want to keep running as long as possible.
