Raised beds - where to find used equipment

My home made job does ok but does not compress the soil enough to maintain shape throughout the season.

I have already checked Kennco Mfg. with no joy.

Kennco makes one for a 40HP rig but the cost is WAY out of my range ~4k.

Here are some that are sold/manufactured in PA. I see a few used every year at auctions in PA, NY,NJ. I've seen quite a few in NC also. They are cheaper than a Kennco and will do the job, although Kennco is probably the Cadillac of this kind of equipment. Call these guys, they may have a used one if you want to take a ride!

If horsepower is a problem you can usually get the bed a little higher and firmer by making 2 passes, not pulling so much dirt on the first pass. How wide and high are you trying to form the beds??

Here is the idea, just can't seem to find used around here.

The guy I drive the truck for has one he uses to make beds for a 6 row transplanter, 3 beds on 6 foot centres. It consists of four middle busters on 6 foot centres , a series of adjustable blades to shape bed, followed by a real heavy crumbler about 5 feet wide for each bed. This device is 3 point hitch and he pulls it with Ford 4x4 7610. I understand the local fabricator that built this ships them all over continant.
