Howard Rotavator Model ????

I have recently purchased a Howard 100 inch Rotavator and would like to determine the Model. It has the some identifing features. The main rotor bearing has its own oil bath. It has a Selector Tilth Gear Box and the selector tilth gears are mounted not horizontally on the side of the main gear box opposite to the chain case side of the machine. It has two rubber tyred depth wheels on bearing mounted hubs. It Australian made machine made in North Meade in Sydney.

You can call Peter at 231-924-3420 and see if he knows. He's a very good source for Howard parts and info... They have been selling and serviceing them for many years now.

Hey Robert, Did I read that you rotovated a gravel logging road once? Whats up with that? Was it crush & run by any chance?

Another question- can a 5 foot rotovator be operated with a 90hp tractor without tearing it all to heck? Slip clutch is on it.

Yea, i took out a long gravel drive one time!!! The guy didn't want to use it any longer, and it was compacted so hard nothing would grow there!!! I rotavated it, and he planted grass in it!!

Another time i did rotavate about 1/2 mile of old logging road, it was just to smooth it out. There was some huge rocks in that one!!! Anyway, i thought it was a stupid idea, but who an i to argue with those that what to spend there money.... :>)))

What model Howard are you running??? You have to size then right to make them last, just like any other tool. All Howards "aren't" created equil!!!
