The 1032 was a pretty good wagon for a pull type. In this area there are still some 1045s around pretty cheap and they are self propelled. I never had association with a 1010, do the hydraulics on ot work off of the tractor's system? If so it takes a newer tractor to operate it.

Check out Roeder Implement (roederimp.com). They specialize in bale wagons and have all the specs on their website...looked, but they did not have any 1010's posted for sale. I looked at a small bale wagon for sale a couple of years ago...It looked in ok shape, but I have no experience with them. The seller said it worked great...just his barn was not high enough. Well, I had hay in the field, so I told him I would have to see it work first. Come to find out, the hydraulic cylinder and linkage had been removed from the middle table hooks and when the table would raise to stack the bales, they would slide down the middle table and the bottom bales would be crushed against the bottom of the rear table. Learned a couple of things that day...about bale wagons and salesmen.

Good Luck,

Tim

I never liked the 1010 due to not having push off feet or automatic tie tier. A lot of time and effort using hooks to get out from under the stacks. I sold one 5 years ago for $1750 with new paint in immaculate condition.

I only have a couple of thousand bales a year to do tops. that is why I am looking at a 1010. I am also interested in the single bale unloder. How do you use the hooks to unload a stack?

Anchor the hooks with chain to a barn post or pillar, tilt the load rack and hook the chain to the stack and then pull out. Kind of hard to describe, real clear pics in the owners manual.

I was doing about the volume you describe with a 1010. A 1034 suited me a lot better and gave me more room to expand. It also has single bale unload. Of course, $1750 got someone else a 1010 and it took $5000 to get the 1034. Worth every penny to me.
