I have been eyeing an old Superior grain drill sitting behind my neighbors barn for a few years now and was wondering if there is any way to drill soybeans with a drill this old or if the holes would be to small. Just a curiosity question. Also has anybody used one of these drills before? Thanks Adam Davis

When I first planted beans, all I had was my grandfather"s old Superior #26 on steel. Problem you will have is that it won"t meter down low enough for soybeans in 7 inch rows, unless it has the reducers (which most don"t). I blocked every other hole with duct tape and planted beans in 14 inch rows and got my target population that way.
