The strex we bought 4 years ago is a big improvement over the tedders of twenty yrs ago(wider heavier tires, heavier frames, frame to gaurd tine rotation etc.) They can be a little unstable when folded up in transport position, you just have to be sure when you park or unhook it you have the weight leaning foward or a good wind will blow it over..... I've owned one for several years and am completely satisfied with it. I don't however ted hay if it isn't necessary. If the weather is in my favor and I've cut & conditioned since the drying time will be very short I rake & bale. Usually I only get out the tedder to shake the moisture off after an overnight shower. Good luck.

As far as construction goes I would say they are average for hay tedders. They are made in Italy, most of todays tedders are. I would put them in between the agrisupply tedders and the high end tedders like the Krone. We sell both the Sitrex and the Krone and there is a place for both. Find a dealer and parts should not be a problem.
