Easy New Holland baler question

OK a friend was using a 67 (maybe a 69 - doesn't matter) New Holland baler in dry hay that was mainly brome.....the problem is the quality of the bales - it seemed like the bales weighed enough, but no matter how much we tightened down the pressure on the bale chamber the strings were still way loose.... the bales would get heavier but the string still seems saggy - both sides about the same.....

was using brand new sisal twine

it already has 3 or 4 (we had to take the plunger out) of the side bars in he chamber - seems like 3 on one side and maybe on on the other side

Check to see if the bale case wedges are intact. There could be mounting holes in the chamber for up to three pairs; I would install at least two, if you already have two pair and can install three do so. Check hay dog and their springs.
