Where to find snap coupler equipment?!

Here in north west arkansas, there is not a lot of snap coupler equipment. I have a wd 45 and am looking for a breaking plow and cultivator. The snap coupler is nice. If I could find Equipment then I wouldn't have to convert to three point. Any suggestions? thanks Nation.

Norhtern missouri has a lot of it. Blades are in great demand kinda pricey plows are cheap. Rear cultivator are cheap but see less all the time. Dealer at Downing Missouri has some machinery setting. I think Ford dealer at Columbia has a little setting. WHat do you need we go to Springfield couple times a year. Wife has family at Lockwood

Nation, Check S&F Farm Supply in Lockwood, MO for the SC equiptment. There's a company in Mindenmines, MO that makes a great 3pt for any Allis tractor.
As a long time Allis owner, my advise would be to get the 3pt. AC made very good tractors, but their SC plows left MUCH to be desired. You also have a better selection of equiptment. Some 3pt add ons are very good, some are not worth $.02, Buyer Beware.

The problem with converting a to 3pt on an Allis is you lose your traction booster control and plowing without that is not fun.

There are 2 pretty standard type 3 point conversions made for AC tractors. One replaces the drawbar and connects into the snap coupler bell. It"s kind of a wishbone looking thing. The second attaches to the draw bar and then the lower lift arms attach to it. NEITHER of these cause you to loose your traction booster system. As long as the 3 point conversion allows the drag force of the implement to go through the snap coupler bell, you should have traction booster control. As long as the traction booster system is working, that is.

If you don't have a drawbar or lowerlift arms of a 3 point conversion hooked up so the pull goes through the snap coupler bell, what in the world are you pulling from? I seen a few systems cobbled up so that the vertical support of the drawbar bore some of the weight of the pull, but this doesn't usually last long as they can be broken pretty easy. All the good conversions in one way or another take the weight of whatever you are pulling through the snap coupler bell and thus use the traction booster system.

It"s not brain surgery to convert most 3 point implements to snap coupler. You need a welder and a little bit of scrap iron. Take the 3 point A frame and change it from vertical to horizontal, back the tractor up to the implement so you can see how long and what kind of drop you need in a tongue that goes to your snap coupler bell. Fabricate that tongue and attach it in the neighbor hood of where the top link use to attach to the A frame. See where you need to attach lift chains from the A frame to your AC lift arms and weld everything up. Don"t forget you may need cross chains at your lift arms to take the sway out.

I have 4 bottom 14" snap coupler that a person could take 1 bottom off. Located in northeast OK, not far from grand lake, Sell reasonable if interested contact me.

I'm from Michigan and there is lots of AC stuff out there but you have to keep your eyes open. Watch the auctions or try some of the used equipment dealers like Stamm or Nolans.
