Starting early this year. I hate winter.
I had a guy from Florida come up last Sat and pick up my old IH241 baler. Took us 5 hrs getting that thing on his trailer. Not only did he learn a lesson about buying old balers on ebay that you have to drive 2 days to get. He also learned what I meant about it being crunchy cold here in MN.
-15 that day.

Let me know if you want me to drive to Florida and pick up a couple snow shovels for you. Cold in Iowa too. :-)

Someone traveled that far for that baler???? Oy.

I was sorting some cattle & put some out in the pasture for holding the other day. When I went to get them, the little inch of snow/ice we have is cracking, below it the ground is cracking too in the extreme cold & kinda dry. I'm used to those cold cracks in the ground, but never like this! Cracks are big enough for a cow to get a whole hoof 6" deep. Crack goes 2 feet down. This allows the frost to really soak deep into the ground. Going to be quite a spring thaw I believe.

A crack even pulled a brace off of a new post I put in, brace sits about 2" from the post, nails sticking out....

Yes he did. I tried to talk him out of it twice. I had no desire to struggle with a baler in this weather.
I expected him to honor the sale from Ebay. Dont bid if you dont want it.
He called and I said your from Florida?!!! I said do you really want to come all the way up here for a $460 baler? He said yes. I said you sure?
Well ok. Come get it.
I offered to relist it for him or take it to a upcoming sale in the spring. Or he could keep it here as long as needed. But I sold it then because I needed to sell it then.
He said nope I will come get it.
So Sat we froze our buts off trying to get this old baler on a trailer that was to narrow for it.
He called last night to let me know he made it home, got the baler off and tested it out and was very happy.

ok...But I am not driving to Florida to get no balers.

Kelly, you should have offered to go back with it and show him how to run that thing. You could have strethched that out to a long warm weekend.
