CCM Drum Mowers work just like a disc mower but instead of using 18" disc to hold the blades they use large drums. The CCM drum mowers cut in the same way as a disc mower. The niche for these CCM drum mowers is usually for farmers that harvest less than 100 acres of hay a year. CCM largest mower has a 75" cut and can be used on a 35 HP tractor. Drum mowers work best in even number drums. To have a 4 drum 7'-9' 3 point drum mower would require a 85 HP tractor. Usually farmers choose disc mowers for cuts 7' and above. No exterior hydraulics are needed to operate the CCM drum mowers. This is a simple and durable technology that is very cost effective.

The T-185 drum mower will mow 5 acres an hour. And with a 18' tedder you will put hay up faster than any mower conditioner used by itself. Mower conditioners are only beneficial in legume crops.
