Looking to purchase a rototiller for a Kubota BX2200. I'm looking for something that is 40" to 50" wide.

Some brands under consideration

Farmpro 42" from Homier $699 + $200 in shipping

KingKutter 48" from Northern $1199 + $250 in shipping.

Befco 42" from Compact tractors $1590 + ??? in shipping.

Which one to purchase or are their others to consider?

I think the Farmpro isn't for me. I talked with he king kutter people and they told me that the owner has a Kubota BX2200 and designed the TC-48-XB just for that sub-compact. I also heard that their tillers were pretty heavy duty. I also like the 5 flanges with 6 blades each (30 blades) as opposed to the standard 4 or 5 flanges with 4 blades each (16 - 20 blades).

The price seems right also Northern at $1,199.99 and TSC at $1,169.99.

I'd like to hear about any real bad experiences with the King Kutter - but it looks like this is the way to go

I bought the BEFCO with my BX2200 and have been happy with it. I think Landpride and Woods have models close to it in size & quality. I think the Kingcutter/cheaper ones are just that, cheaper.

Be careful with BX2200 concerning the fitting of a tiller to the BX2200 CAT 1 hitch. This hitch is not a standard Cat 1 in spacing and not all tillers will fit a BX. Make sure the chosen tiller has adjustable hitch blocks.
You can see the adjustable hitch blocks on the CCM Gear Drive tiller.

Any local dealers, many big ag dealers & garden dealers & farm supply stores sell such stuff even if you don't see a lot of it sitting around. Would save you the shipping, which seems to be a major cost. Do the Homier semi's come around, buy off the tool sale truck, no shipping - and you can see the quality of their stuff in person.....
