If you're looking for a trailer type John Deere sickle mower, the #37 is probably what your looking for.

Yes John Deere did it was a model 450, the three point version was a 350, they were both built in 7' and 9', they were both balenced head design with standard or heavy duty rock gaurds.
Look in Farmers Fast Line and I'm sure you will find one, there are several here in southwest MO. price for a good 450 is in the $1,000 to $1,750 range.
The New Holland was probley a little better mower.

Here's a picture from the Implement Gallery on this site (link in the column to the left of the screen). The owner calls it a JD #38 semi-mount sickle mower. Is that what you were looking for? I know JD also made a #5 mower that had a tail wheel. I have a JD #9 mower that is a full 3 point mounted mower.

Jim, no that is a semi-mount. I remember seeing a picture of one a long time ago, must not have been to popular. It hitches to the drawbar and has two tires, pulls like a regular trailer and uses a remote cylinder for raising and lowering the blade. I'll just have to keep looking. thanks, Bob

JD made a no. 37 that was a drawbar hitch first and later a 450.

I see them at auctions from time to time. Usually the auctions that have a lot of "fence row" equipment. They are pretty heavy, have a draw bar hitch and two wheels in the back. I would, as always, watch the auctions.
