Mixer/Mill Recommendations?

I'm looking for ideas on a good, small mixer mill setup that can be used comfortably with a Ford 860 to make assorted cattle and sheep feed mixes. Nothing fancy, but sized right to produce batch sizes not to exceed 1000#. A cement mixer isn't near big enough. Used preferably.

Regards,

Phil Crome

Phil, your tractor should be able to handle most any 2 to 3 ton mixer. If you are only going to do half a ton at a time you should be fine. Your tractor will handle a good-sized mill just fine as long as you control the feeding rate of what you are grinding. Unless you have a real horse on them you seldom feed them fast enough to use everything the mill has. Mike

I used to run a small Farmhand mill with a Ford 3000 diesel. Can't remember the model but it was the smallest mill they made.
