MF 345 Mounted Reset Plow

Recently bought a 3 bottom spring trip type plow. Model 345. I need a few wearing parts like landsides and reset springs. I'd also like to find a used furrow wheel assy, and coulter assemblies. How important is the furrow wheel to the performance of the plow? Any suggestions where to get good parts at fair prices? MF is happy to help of course, but the parts are pricey. If I post a photo, can someone identify if I have N bottoms or the high speed bottoms?

Thanks.

I have a Model 74 which is an older plow, and I got both Operator Manual, and a Parts Manual for only a few dollars through my local MF dealer. The manuals are essential for rebuilding, at least to me.

Look in salvage yard listings for MF 880 semi-mount plows. I believe the coulter assemblies are the same. Depending on what bottoms you have, aftermarket wear parts like landsides, shins, shares, etc. are available from places like Agri-Supply and Shoup. The furrow wheel I think is a must, but that may be hard to track down. On most reset plows in salvage yards the springs are already shot. If you have an industrial spring supplier nearby, you might take one to them and they can determine its physical properties and match one up. You may have to bite the bullet and buy from MF.
