I have stumbled onto several pieces of farm machinery for sale. Two of the pieces were a David Bradley 2 bottom 16" plow on rubber and a David Bradley wagon gear. The plow is missing the colters but otherwise is in good condition. Can anyone tell me first, who made David Bradley equipment for Sears and second, can I still get parts, operators manuals and parts books for them. What else if anything can you tell me about David Bradley equipment.

Different manufactures made the machinery for David (Sears) Bradley, the older plows (The ones with blacksmith sharpen shares) I do not knoe who made but the later ones (with throw away shares) were oliver sold in about 58 I believe were availible with either the rooster comb or hydrolic lift in 14" or 16" sizes of 3 bottom curved beam plows and reduseable to 2 bottom. As for anything from Sears for any machinery the people at Sears now do not even know they ever sold any machinery. I do have a copy of an older plow manual I got off of ebay a couple of years ago, only one I ever heard of. Used to have a 2-12" hydrolic lift David Bradley Plow, would hang in there and work in tough ground that our J. D. could not handle. For wagon wheel bearings any bearing supply house and wheels are standard implement

I bought an old David Bradley walk-behind with a bunch of implements this past fall. Wanted to try out the sicklebar mower for some parts of my place I can't mow with anything else.

Anyway, you can find manuals on the web. In fact, if you do a Google search you'll find several good websites of collectors and restorers.

I have bought some engine parts already for mine, needed to restore. Don't believe anybody still sells new parts, but seems to be quite a network of folks who sell/exchange/trade older ones.

David Bradley was a guy from the 19th century who built/sold implements. Got in a licensing agreement with Sears in the early 20th century (I think early 1920s). So, David Bradley made David Bradley for Sears!

good luck with it,
Tom A
