Does anyone know where to buy this stuff? My discbine needs this stuff, and the dealer can't get from the Quebec distributor(CO-OP FEDEREE'= difficult) until maybe April. NEW England or Maritimes locations , if any. We can't find a crooss reference to any of the permatite products either.

Look at Loctite Part No 17430 flexible gasket sealer which seals surfaces with imperfections.

Thought I'd mention, although you pay more for Dow products, they stand behind their materials. I have witnessed many performance tests, when the correct material is used in the corresponding substrate for which it is designed, properly prepared, ( cleaned, primed if necessary etc.) installed per Mfr. instructions, they do the job. Dow makes excellent products, such as 790, 791, 795 sealants, these are silcon sealants used primarily for metal to masonry, metal to metal and or other combinations of caulk joint substrates on building exteriors. Your application is obviously a little different.

I used to buy a lot of Dow products, but the "0" in there is throwing me off, used to buy a lot of Dow 791 silicon sealant. A search turned up the following ( see link below ) on a 7091 sealant.

I used to buy from Kenseal in Long Island City (L.I.C.) Queens, N.Y., and Andy Rossi used to take care of all my orders, you can tell him Bill Joyce, formerly of General Bronze sent you. Kenseal does have other locations and or you most likely have a Dow distributor closer to you, but at least, this is one lead. He knows the product line, and the service was the best. Here's the info on the location I used to do business with, if it is a Dow sealant, they should be able to help you. Hope this helps, nice to find a specific product when you need it ! What purpose are you using the sealant, I have never heard of 791, but have used 731 silicon sealantby Dow. Best sealant I have found.

Do a google search for "corning 7091" in parentheses and you should find something. 3M makes a urethane for glueing in windshields on newer cars that sounds a little bit like 7091. Not really sure tho.
